Deputies found $1.3 million worth in Pot on Tuesday in Montgomery County. The marijuana growing operation was found inside of a mobile home in the Magnolia area, police said. 240 marijuana plants, fertilizer and other growing tools were all confiscated by deputies. A trial is scheduled to begin in Brownsville, TX for the founder of a South Texas-based cargo airline who is charged with distributing child pornography. Robert L. Hedrick is scheduled to start trial in federal court on Monday.  Prosecutors say that Hedrick distributed pornographic images of children with undercover officer from Louisiana and Wisconsin in an online chat room back in November 2010.  Hedrick was arrested in July 2011 and plead not guilty to the charges. Caney Creek Highschool Student Arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter

A baseball player at Caney Creek High School was arrested on Friday morning for intoxication manslaughter. Warren Diepraam, Montgomery County assistant district attorney, said 18-year-old Danny Freund had been charged in the March death of Halie McDonald. Diepraam stated that Freund had been driving under the influence with 18-year-old Halie McDonald when he crashed into a utility pole, resulting in the death of McDonald. League City Man Arrested, Charged With Child-Porn

A man was arrested on Tuesday after police raided his house in League City in a child-pornography investigation. Kevin Ferguson, 54, was taken into jail after he allegedly downloaded and shared child porn online. Ferguson was charged with three counts of child porn possession and is being held on a $120,000 bond. A judge sets a $15,000 bond for a man accused of trying to hit an officer during a low-speed car chase. 24-year-old Andres Martinez was charged with evading arrest after a 20 minute car chase on Gulf Freeway Sunday morning. Federal agents recently obtained a search warrant and seized hundreds of patient records from a Houston psychiatric hospital and its two mental clinics as part of an escalating Medicare fraud federal investigation. The focus on the probe into Westbury Community Hospital was to whether owners of personal care hospitals were recruiting patients for treatment in exchange for money, whether the patients needed the treatment or not. A brief police chase ends deadly after driver crashes into a Ryder rental truck. The wreck happened around 4:50 a.m. near the intersection of Shepherd and 30th after the police spotted a car which was believed to be involved in the theft of two tires earlier that day. 39-year-old Michael Giacona spent 90 days in jail after a drunk driving incident that killed a 20-year-old victim last summer. Along with his jail time, the judge also sentenced him to wear a sign for four consecutive Saturdays reading, “I killed Aaron Pennywell While Driving Drunk.” During the first weekend of his public sentence, passers-by became hostile towards Giacona. Two Houston teens were arrested for breaking into a car after police say they returned to the crime scene. A Beaumont judge sentenced an ex-teacher of a SW Texas school 15 years in prison for engaging in sexual relations with a student. Timothy Russell Verdon, 51, who formally taught at Hamshire-Fannett Middle School was sentenced to 15 years on Monday. Police say that Verdon had engaged in a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl in 2008.
