Frequently Asked Questions |
Where is the Courthouse located?
The Harris County Criminal Justice Center is located at 1201 Franklin Street:
What is the process for getting out of jail once a person is arrested?
After being arrested a person will be booked into jail; followed by an arraignment; bail will be set, and once the bail is made a person will then be booked out. If your loved one is still in custody, contact our office and we can help you navigate the bail bonding process.
What If I’m guilty of the Charge?
EVERY person accused of a crime needs an attorney. The Law Offices of Billy Skinner are dedicated to FIGHTING for their clients. As a former Assistant District Attorney for Harris County, Billy Skinner knows what prosecutors are looking for, how they work a case, and what motivates them to dismiss a case or offer the best plea bargain.
I’ve been arrested for DWI, can I legally drive right now?
Yes. The paperwork you receive from the Police states you can drive for 40 days. However, once you have requested an ALR hearing with the Department of Public Safety, you are eligible to drive until your hearing date. It typically takes 3 to 4 months before your drivers license hearing occurs, so you are free to drive the entire time prior to your hearing date. When you hire Houston DWI Attorney Billy Skinner, he will take care of every aspect of the ALR process from requesting the hearing to presenting your case and fighting to keep your driver’s license.
What’s This Going to Cost?
Price matters. Each individual case takes a unique approach and has a unique cost. At the Law Offices of Billy Skinner we work with you to develop a fee structure that fits your needs. Payment plans are available and many of our clients use this method to get the representation they want at a price they can afford.
